There are 2 ways to estimate meter reads. The first read is through Pre-Flight while billing, and the second is through the Managed Reads app. First, we will show you how through Pre-Flight.

1. From the Billing Center, click "Production” and search for the property where you want to estimate meter reads.

2. Once you find the property, click "Generate Batch."

3. In Pre-Flight, find the line items that have the meters you want to estimate and click "View Details."

4. To find which meters are estimated or don't have reads, click on the "Status" to filter.

5. Meters with missing reads are automatically estimated and flagged as estimated with the circled "E". You can override this estimation by clicking on the read itself.

6. To edit the read, select the read you want to edit through the drop-down and click on the pencil mark. Click Save once done.

To estimate reads through the Managed Read app, navigate to the Apps page.

1. You can scroll down or search for the app.

2. Once you find the Manage Reads app click to enter.

3. A new tab will open with the Manage Reads App. Start by searching for the desired property.

4. Once you find the desired property, click the selection box.

Note: You can select multiple properties at a time.

5. Once you've made your selections, click "Next."

6. Find the device(s) you would like to edit reads for.

7. Once you find the device(s), click "Next"

8. Select the points that will hold the readings you want to edit.

9. Click "Next."

10. To edit an existing read, click the read you want to edit.

11. To create an estimated read, select the dropdown and select which method you would like to use to estimate the read.

12. There are 4 different estimation methods. Once you select which one you would like to use, the "New Value" will automatically fill in.

13. Save the read after editing.

14. If you do not want to edit a read but create a new read, click on "Enter New Reading."

15. Select the point where you would like to create a reading. Add the date and time. As above, you can select the "Estimation Method" you would like to use.

16. Save the reading once the estimation has been created.
