How to Connect and EKM Push Device

This page explains how to connect an EKM Push device to VITALITY once it is properly installed on your IT network and sending data to the cloud, using the EKM Push Key provided by EKM.

Before connecting to VITALITY, make sure that the EKM Push has been properly installed and connected to your IT Network so it can push its data to the Cloud. After you have verified this has been done, proceed through the next steps.

Tip: When you purchased your EKM Push device, in your email from EKM they will provide you a EKM Push Key. You will need this before you can connect your device to VITALITY.

Here is an example of the key: MDAxMXoyMEIw

Alert: If you do not have a key, email EKM support at support@ekmmetering.com

1. From any page on the legacy platform. Hover over your User's Avatar in the right corner.

2. Click "User Settings"

3. Click "Integrations"

4. Click "Connect To EKM"

5. Click "New"

6. Click the "Name" field and enter a name for this EKM connection

7. Next leave the Maximum Reads to default, and enter the EKM Push Key provided by EKM support.

8. Click "Save"

9. Click the "Apps" link.

10. Click "Data Sources"

11. Click the EKM Data Source Card

12. Click on the property the EKM Device is located at.

13. Click "Import Gateway"

14. Enter the EKM Push Key into the MAC Address field.

15. Click "Submit"

16. Follow the on screen prompts to connect to the devices and points of that EKM device.

Alert: If you do not see any devices or points on the screen prompts, then contact your IT administrator or EKM metering. The EKM is not pushing its data to the Cloud.
